  • 1 cup spinach leaves (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup strawberries (hulled and halved)
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 banana (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or 1 scoop protein powder (your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds
  • 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Ingredients:

    • Wash and dry the spinach leaves, strawberries, and blueberries.
    • Hull and halve the strawberries.
    • Slice the banana.
    • Measure out the Greek yogurt or protein powder, chia seeds or flax seeds, and honey or agave syrup (if using).
  2. Assemble the Smoothie Pack:

    • Place all the prepared ingredients into a freezer-safe zip-top bag or a reusable silicone bag. Remove as much air as possible before sealing the bag to prevent freezer burn.
    • Label the bag with the date and contents.
  3. Freeze:

    • Lay the bag flat in the freezer for easy storage. These smoothie packs can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.

To Make the Smoothie:

  1. Blend:

    • Remove a smoothie pack from the freezer.
    • Add the contents of the smoothie pack to a blender.
    • Pour in 1 cup of your choice of liquid (milk, almond milk, coconut milk, or juice).
  2. Blend Until Smooth:

    • Blend on high until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined and smooth. Add more liquid if needed to reach your desired consistency.
  3. Serve:

    • Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately!

Tips:

  • Customization: Feel free to customize your smoothie packs with different fruits, veggies, and protein options. Some great additions include mango, pineapple, kale, avocado, and nuts.
  • Nutrient Boost: Add a small handful of oats or a spoonful of nut butter for extra nutrients and a creamy texture.
  • Sweetness: Adjust the sweetness to your taste by adding natural sweeteners like honey, agave, or dates.
