Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Fresh fruit (e.g., berries, banana slices, or apple chunks)
  • Nuts or seeds (e.g., almonds, walnuts, or sunflower seeds)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a mason jar or a small bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are evenly mixed.

  2. Chill Overnight: Cover the jar or bowl with a lid or plastic wrap. Place it in the refrigerator and let it sit overnight (or at least 4-5 hours). This allows the oats and chia seeds to absorb the liquid and soften.

  3. Add Toppings: In the morning, give the oats a good stir. Add your choice of fresh fruit and nuts or seeds on top. You can mix them in or leave them as a topping.

  4. Serve: Enjoy your overnight oats cold directly from the fridge, or if you prefer, you can heat them up in the microwave for a warm breakfast.

Variations:

  • Chocolate Banana: Add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder to the oat mixture and top with banana slices and a sprinkle of dark chocolate chips.
  • Berry Delight: Mix in a handful of frozen berries before refrigerating. Top with fresh berries in the morning.
  • Nut Butter Swirl: Add a spoonful of your favorite nut butter (peanut, almond, or cashew) to the oats mixture. Top with sliced bananas and a drizzle of nut butter.

This overnight oats recipe is not only healthy and delicious but also highly customizable to suit your taste preferences. Enjoy!
